Primary Teacher Training with Invictus

Our Primary Teacher Training routes provide an immersive and dynamic introduction to teaching across all Primary National Curriculum subjects, with a strong focus on English, Mathematics, and Science.

We offer flexible pathways tailored to different age groups:
3-7 years (Early Years, Postgraduate)
5-11 years (Postgraduate)

You’ll explore the distinctive pedagogies of Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, gaining valuable insights into curriculum design, effective teaching strategies, and assessment methods. To broaden your expertise, you’ll also gain experience in Key Stage 3, helping you understand the transition from primary to secondary education.

A Practical, Hands-On Approach

From day one, you'll blend theory with hands-on experience, developing your teaching skills through a structured and supportive programme:
One day per week dedicated to studying the theory of teaching
Four days per week in placement schools, observing expert teachers and gradually taking on classroom responsibilities
Opportunities to link educational theory with real-world classroom practice

Throughout your training, you’ll be guided by specialist mentors and experienced educators, ensuring you develop the confidence and skills to create engaging, inclusive, and inspiring learning experiences for young children.

By the end of the programme, you’ll have met the National Teachers’ Standards and be fully prepared to achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)—ready to make a real impact in the classroom from day one!
